Class Underwriter – Wording Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Policy Wording Specialist to join our Head Office Underwriting team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will help shape our underwriting approach by maintaining and improving the policy literature suite for our General Insurance products.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively maintain and continuously improve policy wordings and related documentation.
• Ensure policy literature reflects underwriting risk appetite and provides appropriate cover.
• Act as the final point of referral for policy literature across all classes of business.
• Review market policy literature to identify emerging risks and opportunities.
• Support wider change and transformation projects as business priorities evolve.

Required profile

• Professional experience in General Insurance underwriting.
• Strong judgement and understanding of policy risk appetite.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Interest in continuous learning and adapting to a changing environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of policy wording and insurance documentation.
