About the role
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tewkesbury. The role is term‑time only and offers both full‑time and part‑time options, allowing you to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic educational environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Assist with lesson preparation and classroom organisation.
- Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis when required.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and participation.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and wider school staff.
Required profile
- Positive, proactive and adaptable attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff.
- Previous experience with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
- Background in education, care, youth work or similar is beneficial.
