Classroom Support Assistant (Supply) – Leeds

About the role
Randstad Education is looking for proactive Classroom Support Assistants to work on a supply basis in primary schools across Leeds. You will help early years and Key Stage 1 pupils develop reading skills using phonics programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering phonics lessons and early literacy activities.
- Assist pupils with reading and writing tasks in line with EYFS and KS1 curriculum.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behaviour.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and records are up‑to‑date.
Required profile
- Recent hands‑on experience supporting pupils in a UK primary classroom.
- Strong knowledge of UK phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc., Jolly Phonics or Little Wandle.
- Familiarity with EYFS or KS1 curriculum.
- Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
