Classroom Support Worker – Maidenhead

About the role

We are looking for a Classroom Support Worker to join a primary school in Maidenhead. The role provides hands‑on assistance to teachers and pupils, helping to create a calm and supportive learning environment. The position starts as soon as possible and runs during school terms.

Key responsibilities

• Support students who find class work challenging, including reading and phonics practice.
• Assist the class teacher with preparing lesson materials and setting up classroom displays.
• Maintain a tidy, presentable classroom and help manage behaviour.
• Foster a friendly atmosphere that encourages children to do their best.
• Provide one‑to‑one help to pupils with additional learning needs.

Required profile

• Calm, compassionate and patient demeanor.
• Ability to take initiative and solve problems.
• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of safeguarding procedures in schools.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check (support available).
• Right to live and work in the UK.
