Cleaner/Domestic Staff – Care Home

About the role

Join the Housekeeping Team at Primrose Croft Care Home in Cambridge and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will work alongside compassionate colleagues to ensure high standards of cleanliness throughout the home.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
• Carry out deep‑cleaning tasks on a rota, including floors, soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings, windows and walls.
• Dispose of rubbish and manage waste responsibly.
• Report equipment failures or maintenance issues in line with policies.
• Follow COSHH and Infection Control Regulations.
• Engage with residents, promoting independence, dignity and respect.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and ability to juggle priorities.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role is desirable.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Understanding of Infection Control procedures.

• £13.45 per hour, 30 hours per week (full‑time or part‑time).
• Shift pattern: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, including alternate weekends.
