Cleaner/Workshop Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cleaner/Workshop Assistant to join our manufacturing and engineering team in Andover. The role is part‑time, hands‑on and supports both cleanliness and workshop operations in a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and efficient workplace while supporting workshop operations and the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across factory and workshop areas.
• Ensure workspaces remain organised, safe and presentable.
• Assist with general workshop duties, including deburring and basic support tasks.
• Support the set‑up and clean‑up of workshop projects as needed.
• Provide ad‑hoc operational assistance to engineers and team members.
• Carry out occasional driving duties when required.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic with a proactive, can‑do attitude.
• Comfortable working in a hands‑on, practical environment.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Flexible and willing to support across different tasks.
• Punctual, dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Previous cleaning or workshop experience is desirable.
• Able to carry out manual tasks safely.

Required skills

• Full UK driving licence.
