Cleaning Operative

About the role

City Rooms, a busy lettings company in London, is seeking an experienced Cleaning Operative to join its permanent team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑standard cleaning across multiple tenanted properties each day, ensuring communal areas and individual rooms are ready for new tenants or deep‑cleaned on request.

Key responsibilities

• Clean communal areas, hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and en‑suites to a high standard.
• Perform end‑of‑tenancy and market‑ready deep cleans for properties returning to the market.
• Travel between properties using public transport, carrying company‑supplied cleaning products.
• Use company portals and mobile apps to video‑tag properties on arrival and completion for verification and payment.
• Report any issues identified at properties to the Property Management team.
• Follow health and safety procedures, wearing PPE as required.

Required profile

• Previous professional cleaning experience (essential).
• Good command of English and ability to communicate clearly.
• Reliable, trustworthy, flexible and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards.

What we offer

• Competitive salary starting at £24,000 per year, with OTE potential.
• Immediate start, full‑time permanent contract.
• Monday‑Friday schedule, 09:00‑17:00.
