Cleaning Supervisor – Domestic Services

About the role

Claires Court is seeking an experienced Domestic Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations across three school sites in Maidenhead. Working closely with the Domestic Manager, you will combine hands‑on cleaning with team leadership to ensure a safe, spotless environment for pupils, staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support the domestic cleaning team, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Perform cleaning duties and conduct quality checks throughout the schools.
• Monitor and adjust cleaning schedules to meet daily requirements.
• Organise deep‑cleaning projects during school holidays.
• Manage cleaning supplies, equipment stock levels and ordering.
• Ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations.
• Complete records, checklists and documentation accurately.
• Report hazards, defects and maintenance issues promptly.
• Promote a strong health‑and‑safety culture within the department.
• Collaborate with school teams to support events and operational needs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory or team‑leader role (essential).
• Proven ability to manage and develop a cleaning team.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, COSHH and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

What we offer

• Full‑time permanent contract (Monday‑Friday, 10 am‑6 pm).
