Cleaning Supervisor – Facilities Team

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Cleaning Supervisor to join our Facilities team in Newcastle upon Tyne. This part‑time, hands‑on role combines day‑to‑day cleaning duties with the supervision of a small team, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, support and motivate a team of three cleaning colleagues.
• Allocate daily tasks and ensure appropriate coverage across the building.
• Perform cleaning duties in offices, workspaces, meeting rooms, kitchens, staff areas, toilets, washrooms, and communal areas.
• Vacuum, mop and carry out general housekeeping to maintain high standards.
• Act as a keyholder, securing the building at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies.
• Support effective waste segregation and recycling practices.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a commercial cleaning environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Positive, professional attitude with good communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a small team.
