Cleaning Supervisor (Temporary)

About the role

The Cleaning Supervisor will oversee the day‑to‑day cleaning operations within a university environment in central London. Reporting to the Head of Housekeeping Services, the role ensures a clean, safe and welcoming atmosphere for students, staff and visitors during a three‑month fixed‑term assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a team of cleaning staff across the assigned area.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety and university cleaning standards.
• Respond promptly to service requests and adjust resources to meet changing needs.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any issues to management.
• Collaborate with other university departments to improve operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory experience, preferably in a cleaning or facilities setting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse university community.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to new demands.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor and a professional work ethic.
