Client Accountant – Chester (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a respected accountancy practice in Chester to recruit an experienced Client Accountant. You will manage a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high‑quality bookkeeping, accounts and tax services while building long‑term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Handle bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
• Compute corporation tax and submit returns.
• Support personal tax work when required.
• Develop trusted client relationships and provide practical advice.
• Manage deadlines to ensure accurate and efficient delivery.
• Utilise leading cloud‑based accounting software such as IRIS, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualification.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience.
• Full UK driving licence.
