Client Accountant

About the role

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a respected organisation to hire a Client Accountant for its growing finance team in Wimborne. The role offers exposure to a diverse client portfolio and the chance to take ownership of financial reporting within a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory and client accounts
• Produce interim financial reports and support regular reporting cycles
• Assist in budget preparation and review alongside operational teams
• Complete reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support onboarding of new client portfolios and validate financial information
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
• Contribute to ad‑hoc reporting and finance projects as required

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or actively studying towards one)
• Previous experience in an accounting or financial reporting role
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize workload
• Strong communication skills for interacting with finance and non‑finance stakeholders
