Client Accounting Services Advisor

About the role

TC Group is seeking a Client Accounting Services (CAS) Advisor to join its growing team in Stanley. You will work with a portfolio of small‑to‑medium businesses, delivering bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and management accounting services while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Provide bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll processing and management accounts for assigned clients.
• Prepare month‑end and year‑end accounts, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Analyse financial data, identify trends and suggest improvements.
• Maintain accurate cloud‑based accounting records and promote digital system adoption.
• Manage client workflows, meet deadlines and respond promptly to enquiries.
• Prepare information for client meetings and keep billing records up to date.
• Support process improvements and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• AAT Level 4 qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in an accountancy practice or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, payroll and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver a high‑quality client service.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with digital accounting tools like Dext.

What we offer

• Salary between £27,000 and £37,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• 35‑hour work week, Monday‑Friday, with flexible hybrid working after probation.
