Client-Facing Pensions Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Client‑Facing Pensions Project Manager to lead large‑scale, complex initiatives for a global financial services organisation. The role combines end‑to‑end project delivery with direct client interaction across pensions administration, consulting, and related transformation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and control complex pension projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget.
• Act as the primary client liaison, building trusted advisory relationships and managing third‑party and internal stakeholders.
• Interpret client strategic objectives and translate them into actionable project outcomes, including benefit changes, Pensions Dashboard, GMP and de‑risking initiatives.
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple service lines and external providers, defining roles and responsibilities.
• Review high‑visibility project proposals, assess risks, validate requirements and recommend adjustments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in client‑facing project management, preferably within the pensions sector.
• Working knowledge of Defined Benefit pension schemes.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Organised, able to juggle multiple deadlines and adapt to changing environments.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
