Client Manager – Chartered Accountancy Firm

About the role

Join a respected chartered accountancy firm in East Grinstead as a Client Manager. You will work autonomously, managing a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed business clients while delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of SME and OMB clients.
• Prepare and review year‑end accounts and tax returns.
• Oversee VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts where required.
• Provide practical business and tax advice to clients.
• Identify and resolve tax issues confidently.
• Support and review the work of junior team members.
• Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and advice.

Required profile

• Strong background in UK accountancy practice.
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist) with solid experience.
• Live within a reasonable commuting distance to East Grinstead.
• Ability to manage own workflow and client portfolio independently.
