Client Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established accountancy practice in Chester that is looking for an experienced Client Manager. This hybrid, full‑time position will see you act as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing trusted advice and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of clients, serving as the day‑to‑day contact.
• Review and oversee accounts, tax computations and related submissions.
• Ensure work is delivered accurately, on time and to a high standard.
• Build strong relationships and identify opportunities to add value.
• Support, review and mentor junior team members.
• Liaise with internal teams to maintain smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant regulations and best practice.

Required profile

• Previous experience in client or portfolio management within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax processes.
• Excellent communication skills with a client‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Experience guiding and developing junior staff.
• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
