Client Manager / Senior Manager – Accountancy Practice

About the role

Pro-Finance is seeking an experienced Client Manager or Senior Manager to lead a portfolio of SME clients within a top‑20 UK accountancy practice. This senior position combines client relationship management, team leadership and strategic advisory work, offering a clear path for long‑term career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of limited company clients, delivering proactive business advice and high‑quality service.
• Lead client assignments from planning through to completion, including statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns.
• Mentor and develop senior and junior team members through coaching, performance management and training.
• Support portfolio managers with complex accounting and technical matters.
• Drive the implementation of cloud accounting solutions and process‑improvement projects.
• Identify advisory opportunities and contribute to business development and client onboarding.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification.
• Significant experience managing an own client portfolio within an accountancy practice.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing and developing a team.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
