Client Onboarding Assistant Manager – CDD

About the role

This position is with a leading professional services firm that values collaborative culture and high‑quality client service. As a Client Onboarding Assistant Manager you will oversee client due‑diligence (CDD) and onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with UK AML/KYC regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end client onboarding and CDD activities.
• Review due‑diligence documentation and assess AML/KYC requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments on new and existing clients, including complex ownership structures.
• Provide guidance to stakeholders on onboarding and compliance matters.
• Escalate high‑risk cases and support enhanced due‑diligence reviews.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding procedures.
• Mentor junior members of the Client Onboarding team.
• Participate in wider risk‑management and compliance projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Client Due Diligence, AML, KYC, client onboarding or risk & compliance.
• Strong knowledge of UK AML regulations and onboarding requirements.
• Experience reviewing complex ownership structures and performing risk assessments.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience is advantageous.
• Background in professional services, legal, financial services, accountancy or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
