Clinical Deputy Manager – Care Home Leadership

About the role

The Clinical Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents of Cedars Care Home. This senior leadership position combines hands‑on clinical oversight with strategic responsibility for governance, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance, care planning, medication management and risk assessment across the home.
• Monitor performance, conduct audits, support inspections and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide visible, hands‑on leadership to nursing and care teams, mentoring staff and fostering professional development.
• Act as deputy to the Home Manager, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and making decisions in their absence.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold organisational standards of safety and quality.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a residential care setting.
• Proven leadership and team‑management experience.
• Experience in clinical governance, audits and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent decision‑making, problem‑solving and mentoring abilities.
