Clinical Deputy Manager

About the role

St. Katharine's, a Gold Care Homes home with 84 beds near Wantage, is looking for a Clinical Deputy Manager. The post provides clinical supervision to registered nurses, acts as shift team leader and supports the development of care staff. The home offers personalised care to its residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision to registered nurses so they maintain the competencies needed to meet residents' needs
• Act as shift team leader and give overall supervision and development to care staff
• Contribute to the training of care staff and other staff, acting as a role model
• Take part in personal and professional development and attend mandatory training
• Ensure Gold Care standards and support systems are operated effectively
• Monitor, audit and review the service and take corrective action where needed
• Assist the Home Manager with formal supervision and appraisals of staff and ongoing informal assessments
• Implement Gold Care policies, procedures, legal requirements and codes of practice
• Help with recruitment, performance management and staff deployment
• Liaise with and oversee maintenance contractors and promote the home and Gold Care with stakeholders, including the regulator, medical and social care professionals and the local community
• Support corporate marketing and maintain private bed occupancy
