Clinical Lead for Wheelchair Services

About the role

The Clinical Lead for Wheelchair Services will shape how people across the BSW region access safe, effective and person‑centred wheelchair provision. You will provide strategic clinical leadership, ensuring assessments, postural management and rehabilitation support meet national standards and commissioning requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead clinical governance for wheelchair provision in line with ICB criteria and national guidance.
• Oversee assessment, postural management and rehabilitation processes.
• Conduct incident reviews and quality assurance activities.
• Travel across the BSW region to support service delivery and team collaboration.
• Develop and mentor staff, providing structured development into wheelchair‑service expertise.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy.
• HCPC registration.
• Strong clinical leadership and risk‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel across multiple communities.
