Clinical Negligence Solicitor – 4+ Years PQE

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a forward‑thinking law firm in Liverpool. The successful candidate will manage a full claimant caseload while supporting senior colleagues on high‑value and catastrophic injury claims, gaining exposure to high‑profile litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters from instruction to conclusion.
• Support senior team members on complex, multi‑million‑pound and catastrophic injury cases.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence and other legal documents to a high standard.
• Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy and preparation.
• Liaise with clients, counsel, courts, medical experts and third parties.
• Attend client meetings, conferences and hearings as required.
• Maintain key dates, limitation periods and proactively progress cases.
• Ensure files comply with SRA, AML and Lexcel regulations and participate in audits.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with approximately 4+ years PQE in clinical negligence.
• Proven ability to manage claimant caseloads independently.
• Experience assisting on complex or high‑value clinical negligence matters.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and client‑focused communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.

Required skills

• Confident IT skills and experience using case management systems.
