Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Litigation Team

About the role

Our client, a specialist litigation firm, is looking for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their team in Middleton. You will manage a full caseload of clinical negligence claims, providing empathetic client care from instruction through to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of clinical negligence claims, handling them from initial instruction to settlement or trial.
• Advise and support clients throughout the process with professionalism and empathy.
• Investigate liability and quantum, commissioning expert evidence where required.
• Draft high‑quality legal documentation and correspondence.
• Negotiate settlements and, where necessary, prepare matters for trial.
• Maintain accurate case records using the firm’s case management system.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in clinical negligence.
• Proven ability to manage a varied caseload involving NHS, private consultants and GP practices.
• Strong litigation and case management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of client care, organisation and time‑management.
