About the role

The Clinical Nurse Manager will lead community nursing teams and the Davidson Ward at Girvan Community Hospital. This 12‑month fixed‑term position involves overseeing 20 inpatient beds, a minor injury department, and the wider Carrick area community nursing services.

Key responsibilities

Provide professional and operational leadership to nursing staff across district and primary care services.
Ensure safe standards of nursing care, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
Manage resources effectively, including staffing, budgets, and equipment.
Deliver staff training, development, education, and support research initiatives.
Report to the Associate Nurse Director and contribute to clinical governance.

Required profile

Registered Nurse with graduate or master’s level education, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated management and leadership competencies.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for challenging situations.
Commitment to continuous professional development and research.
Valid UK driving licence (car).
