Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the role

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This role blends office‑based duties with community visits, providing specialist clinical support to adults and children with complex health needs in their own homes across Merseyside.

Key responsibilities

• Take clinical ownership of complex care caseloads, including occasional paediatric packages.
• Create, manage and review bespoke care plans for each client.
• Lead and deliver clinical training for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.
• Ensure safe, compliant, high‑quality care in line with national standards.
• Review clinical documentation such as MAR charts and care records.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with clients, families and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Valid NMC Pin with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Strong clinical judgement and ability to prioritise workloads.
• Willingness to travel across Merseyside to client homes.

Required skills

• Airway management, including tracheostomy care and suctioning.
• Ventilation management (invasive and non‑invasive).
• Enteral feeding techniques (PEG, JEJ, NG).
