Clinical Pharmacist – Mental Health (Band 7, Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Pharmacist to join the mental health pharmacy team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position (Band 7) focused on delivering high‑quality clinical pharmacy services for patients with mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver specialist mental health clinical pharmacy services as part of the CWP pharmacy team.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet patients’ pharmaceutical care needs.
• Uphold medicines‑management standards across all trust areas.
• Provide education on safe and effective medication use to medical and nursing staff, patients and carers.
• Offer professional support and supervision to pre‑registration and student pharmacists.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for patient‑centred care.
• Ability to work proactively within a team and a keen interest in mental health.
• At least two years post‑registration experience.
• Completion or ongoing study of a clinical pharmacy postgraduate programme.
• Well‑developed clinical pharmacy competencies.
