About the role
The NHS Borders Pharmacy team is expanding and seeks motivated pharmacists for a rotational Clinical Pharmacist position at Borders General Hospital. You will join a supportive, multidisciplinary environment focused on delivering safe, effective, and patient‑centred pharmaceutical care.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality clinical pharmacy services to in‑patients and out‑patients.
- Contribute to safe, cost‑effective prescribing and medication optimisation.
- Participate in service development, innovation, and evidence‑based practice.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals across the Trust.
- Support professional development initiatives and mentorship of junior staff.
Required profile
- Registered pharmacist with a passion for improving patient outcomes.
- Eagerness to engage in service development and clinical innovation.
- Commitment to evidence‑based, cost‑effective practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare team.
