Clinical Physiologist (Trainee) – NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde

About the role

The Respiratory Physiology Service at NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a Clinical Physiologist or Trainee Clinical Physiologist to deliver routine and specialised diagnostic investigations across the region. This permanent, full‑time position (36 hours per week) involves travelling to multiple sites on a rotational basis.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic and specialist respiratory diagnostic tests.
• Sterilise and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Carry out general administrative duties for the respiratory laboratories.
• Travel to various GG&C sites to provide diagnostic services as required.

Required profile

• BSc Clinical Physiology or a relevant degree (essential).
• ARTP Part 1 or Practitioner qualification (desirable).
• ARTP Spirometry Certificate (desirable).
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential).
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting (desirable).
• Full training for the role and essential NHS training (e.g., Moving and Handling) will be provided.
