Clinical Research Doctor – Lung & Mesothelioma (3‑year Fellowship)

About the role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is offering a three‑year Clinical Research Doctor fellowship focused on lung and mesothelioma cancers. This MD(Res) position provides extensive postgraduate training in the medical and multidisciplinary management of thoracic malignancies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and coordinate clinical research studies in lung and mesothelioma oncology.
• Recruit and manage patients, collect and analyse clinical data.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumour boards and journal clubs.
• Attend and contribute to teaching sessions, seminars and formal lectures.
• Prepare scientific manuscripts and present findings at national and international conferences.

Required profile

• Full GMC registration and eligibility for a national training number in a relevant specialty.
• MRCP (or equivalent) qualification.
• Commitment to a three‑year MD(Res) research fellowship.
• Strong interest in thoracic oncology and clinical research.

Required skills

• Clinical research methodology and trial management.
