Clinical Trials Pharmacist – Oncology Research

About the role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated pharmacist to join its Clinical Trials team. Based in Sutton with occasional duties at the Chelsea site, you will support a high‑volume, cutting‑edge oncology research programme.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy clinical‑trials services to dispensaries, medical day units, and research centres across both sites.
• Assist with day‑to‑day dispensing, ward queries and clinical support for research clinics.
• Offer expert advice on trial protocols, prescribing and medication management during MDT meetings.
• Support set‑up of new studies, amendment revisions and ongoing maintenance of active IMP investigations.
• Collaborate with the wider pharmacy department, aseptic services and research teams to ensure compliance and quality.

Required profile

• Qualified pharmacist with a strong interest in clinical research.
• Previous experience working on clinical trials, preferably within oncology or haemato‑oncology.
• Highly motivated, dynamic and able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel between Sutton and Chelsea to provide consistent coverage.
