Cloud Engineer – Crypto Systematic Quant Fund

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team in London, supporting a leading tech‑driven systematic quant fund focused on digital assets and crypto. You will design, build and maintain secure, reliable and scalable cloud platforms that enable high‑performance trading and research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS‑based solutions (EC2, S3, VPC, etc.) for crypto‑related systems.
• Collaborate with development, trading and operations teams to deliver cloud services that meet performance and security requirements.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Manage infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Containerise applications and orchestrate workloads with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor, optimise and troubleshoot cloud environments handling large data sets.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience with core AWS services.
• Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash for automation.
• Proven knowledge of CI/CD principles and pipeline implementation.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• Practical exposure to distributed computing and processing large datasets.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, quantitative finance environment and communicate effectively across technical and business teams.
