Cloud Engineer – OpenShift & Kubernetes

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a major infrastructure transformation programme, building and modernising a new enterprise private cloud platform. The role focuses on delivering scalable solutions using Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes within a collaborative engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy an enterprise‑grade hosting platform.
• Modernise infrastructure by implementing Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and delivery teams across the programme.
• Support platform engineering activities and infrastructure build tasks.
• Help streamline delivery processes on a high‑profile transformation initiative.

Required profile

• Hands‑on platform engineers with experience delivering enterprise‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven background in infrastructure transformation or platform modernisation programmes.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.

Required skills

• Red Hat OpenShift.
• Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure automation – preferably Ansible.
• Networking fundamentals.

What we offer

• Hybrid working – two days onsite (Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham or Slough) with flexibility.
• Initial six‑month contract with an immediate start.
• Day rate of £500‑£590 inside IR35.
