Cloud Native Software Developer (eDV Cleared)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Native Software Developer with active eDV clearance to join a leading technology consultancy supporting the UK National Security and Defence community. You will design, develop and deploy secure cloud‑native applications that have a direct operational impact.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy secure cloud‑native applications for classified government customers.
• Work within Agile engineering teams across the full software lifecycle.
• Shape technical solutions, ensuring scalability, resilience and security.
• Utilise modern cloud platforms, containerised environments and DevSecOps practices.

Required profile

• Active eDV clearance.
• Strong commercial software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building cloud‑native applications on AWS and/or Azure.
• Solid knowledge of Java, Python, Go or similar languages.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker and micro‑service architectures.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Understanding of distributed systems and modern software architecture.
