Cloud Operations Engineer – Secure Cloud Support (Shift)

About the role

Accenture is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to join its secure cloud infrastructure support team in Cheltenham. The role involves providing first‑level engineering support for an air‑gapped cloud environment that underpins critical national infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver frontline support to secure cloud users, troubleshooting and resolving critical technical issues.
• Manage and document tickets, ensuring accurate diagnosis, resolution, or escalation.
• Develop deep product knowledge of air‑gapped cloud technology to answer user queries and provide how‑to guidance.
• Participate in internal reviews to identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and reduce operational toil.
• Follow documented runbooks for high‑priority incident management of UK‑critical workloads.

Required profile

• Eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearance, including five years continuous UK residence.
• Willingness to work a 24/7/365 shift rota with unsociable hours and receive a shift premium.
• Ability to travel to London sites during the first six months for training and transition.

Required skills

• Experience with cloud technologies in secure, air‑gapped environments.
• Proficiency in ticketing and incident‑management processes.
• Familiarity with runbook‑driven operational procedures.
