Cloud Security Engineer (AWS) – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join our growing team. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining secure cloud environments, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our data.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build resilient cloud infrastructures that are protected against security threats.
• Develop and assess cloud security solutions to secure systems, databases and networks.
• Conduct assessments and make recommendations to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
• Monitor and analyze logs, perform vulnerability assessments, and gain insight into security incidents.
• Participate in shaping the company’s security policies, procedures and standards for cloud environments.
• Create technical and managerial security reports for cloud‑based applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
• Monitor use of sensitive data and regulate access to safeguard information.
• Ensure confidentiality and integrity of data during transmission, storage and processing.
• Review violations of security procedures and provide guidance to prevent recurrence.
• Provide support to end users regarding network and security‑related issues.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in Information Security or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in information security with a focus on cloud security.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and integrate well within a team.
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Quick learner of new technologies.

Required skills

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – IAM, Organizations, SSO, VPC, Transit Gateway, S3, EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudTrail, Config, Inspector, GuardDuty, WAF.
• Microsoft Azure (advantage).
• Oracle Cloud (advantage).
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (advantage).
• DevSecOps methodologies (advantage).
• Container security (advantage).

What we offer

• Competitive salary £65,000‑£90,000 per year.
• Fully remote working arrangement.
