CNC Estimator – Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Estimator to join a successful precision engineering company near Camberley, Surrey. The role bridges the shop floor and the office, providing accurate cost estimates and supporting the sales process for complex CNC‑manufactured components.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and quotations for CNC‑produced parts.
• Follow up on quotations and manage contract reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Process sales orders and create parts, bills of materials (BOMs) and production plans in the control system.
• Generate work orders, purchase orders and subcontract documentation.
• Place and track purchase orders for raw materials, expediting manufacturing as needed.
• Liaise with production and quality teams to provide customers with progress updates.
• Collect data for reporting and prepare metrics for the Commercial Manager.

Required profile

• Experience in CNC estimating, or a background as a CNC miller/turner looking to move into an office role.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to coordinate across departments.
