CNC Grinder – Late Shift (4 on 4 off)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join our client’s manufacturing team in Hemel Hempstead on a late‑shift roster (4 days on, 4 days off, 6 pm‑4 am). The role focuses on small‑to‑medium batch production of components with medium to high complexity, ensuring high‑precision grinding results.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and manage CNC grinding equipment for each job.
• Monitor machining processes, make real‑time adjustments and perform in‑process quality checks.
• Interpret engineering drawings and ensure components meet all dimensional requirements.
• Log tooling data accurately and prepare machines for the next operation where possible.
• Maintain safe working practices and adhere to company health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC grinders and manual machining equipment.
• Background in a manufacturing environment handling precision components.
• Commercial awareness, professionalism and strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer and numerical skills.
