CNC Grinder – £18 per hour, 9‑day fortnight

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturer in the precision engineering sector, is looking for an experienced CNC Grinder to join their production team. This role offers the chance to work for a company recognised for quality, innovation and employee development.

Key responsibilities

• Set, operate and adjust CNC grinding machines.
• Manufacture components to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Carry out in‑process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout production.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify and report any quality, tooling or machine issues.
• Adhere to all health, safety and quality procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing department.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a CNC Grinder in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Operation of CNC grinding machinery.
• Use of micrometers and vernier calipers for precision measurement.
• Understanding of engineering tolerances and quality standards.
• Routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
