CNC Machine Operative

About the role

Join a well‑established manufacturing firm in the Medway Towns as a CNC Machine Operative. Working 48 hours a week on a permanent basis, you will support the machining department by processing castings and maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC turning and CNC milling machines, as well as manual turning, manual milling, and drilling equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions to produce accurate parts.
• Inspect machined components and perform first‑off checks on colleagues’ work.
• Record production data using the Aventa touch‑screen system and complete job cards.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including proper PPE use and COSHH compliance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically able to perform manual handling tasks.
