CNC Machine Operator (Mills & Lathes)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable CNC Machine Operator to join our family‑run engineering workshop. You will work with Hurco milling machines and Fanuc lathes, helping us deliver high‑quality components to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Hurco CNC milling machines and Fanuc CNC lathes.
• Load raw materials and components into the machines.
• Monitor machine cycles to ensure smooth operation and quality output.
• Perform basic quality checks using micrometres, calipers and other measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to meet production deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well in a small team.
• Desire to develop a long‑term career in machining.

Required skills

• Experience with Hurco CNC milling controls (preferred).
• Experience with Fanuc CNC lathe controls (preferred).
• Ability to use micrometres and calipers for dimensional inspection.
