CNC Machine Operator – Wood & Fire Door Production

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced wood CNC operator and programmer to join their manufacturing team in Belvedere. The role is essential for producing high‑quality fire‑rated door sets, involving CNC machining of wooden frames and door cores.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate two CNC machines (Homag and Biesse) on a daily basis.
• Machine wooden frames and door cores to precise tolerances for fire‑rated door production.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, maintain consistent output and carry out routine maintenance.
• Perform basic fault finding and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Collaborate with management and production teams to meet manufacturing targets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience operating and programming wood CNC machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong numerical ability and confidence working with measurements and tolerances.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently in a trusted, key role.
• Experience in the fire‑door industry is desirable but not essential.
