CNC Machinist – Miller (Days Based) – £38k-£39k

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join a well‑established manufacturing business in Ashton‑under‑Lyne. This permanent, days‑based position offers a competitive salary, extensive training, overtime opportunities and a supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and program CNC horizontal boring and milling machines.
• Interpret customer drawings and specifications to produce medium‑heavy workpieces.
• Work with Fanuc or Heidenhain control systems to ensure accurate machining.
• Maintain high quality standards and adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet delivery targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with milling expertise.
• Hands‑on experience using CNC horizontal boring/milling machines.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Thursday 08:00‑16:30 and finish early on Friday.
