CNC Machinist – Precision Engineering (Stroud)

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Machinist to join a rapidly growing precision engineering business in Stroud. You will work in a clean, modern manufacturing facility, operating a range of CNC equipment to produce high‑quality components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, lathes, milling machines and sliding head machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to produce parts to tight tolerances.
• Conduct basic machine checks and ensure routine maintenance is performed.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
• Undertake training to develop additional skills and responsibilities.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating CNC machinery or related machine tools is beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Positive attitude, reliable work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
