CNC Machinist / Turner – High Precision Engineering

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Turner to join our high‑precision engineering team in East Sussex. You will work in a purpose‑built facility producing ultra‑high specification components for advanced research and manufacturing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC lathe programs, adjusting coordinates and correcting errors.
• Produce accurate first‑off parts to exact specifications.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Operate across multiple CNC machines as required.
• Support training initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of CNC turning experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T.
• Confidence with ISO and conversational programming.
• Familiarity with a range of machine controls and material behaviour.
• Strong focus on quality, accuracy and meeting deadlines.
