CNC Machinist – Turner/Miller (3‑Shift)

About the role

Our client, a specialist manufacturer, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate turning and milling work‑centres on a permanent, three‑shift basis. You will work within a busy machine shop, collaborating with production, engineering, maintenance and quality teams to deliver high‑quality components.

Key responsibilities

• Operate CNC turning and milling machines safely and efficiently in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Edit and modify CNC programs as required to meet production demands.
• Record all work accurately on the shop‑floor computer system.
• Perform inspections using a range of measuring equipment and ensure calibration certificates are up to date.
• Support apprentices and trainees through training and guidance.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CNC turning and milling, preferably with 5‑axis capability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Willingness to work a three‑shift schedule.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Motivated, flexible and a proactive “can‑do” attitude.
