CNC Miller – Precision Engineering Role

About the role

Join a long‑established engineering business renowned for high‑precision components. You will work on a 38‑hour week with a 12 pm finish on Fridays, enjoying a supportive environment and clear pathways for growth.

Key responsibilities

• Program, set up and operate CNC machines.
• Perform machine alignments and CNC milling operations (turning and grinding experience a plus).
• Work with components and free‑issue material of varying qualities.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring equipment to tight tolerances.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and process documents.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing strongly to the team.
• Comply with health & safety requirements and maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained or time‑served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level).
• Relevant experience in precision subcontract machining/engineering.
• Proactive, hard‑working and reliable.
• Flexibility to meet customer deadlines.
• Current UK right to work.
