CNC Miller – Setting & Operating (4‑day week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join a well‑established metal components manufacturer. The role combines machine setting and operation on multi‑axis Heidenheim and Fanuc mills, with the opportunity to receive programming training while working a 4‑day week.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate Heidenheim and Fanuc CNC milling machines in a workshop environment.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts and make adjustments as required.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate production records and follow health & safety procedures.
• Participate in a rotating shift schedule (two weeks 7:00‑15:30, two weeks 14:30‑00:30) with a shift allowance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller/Setter on 3‑, 4‑ or 5‑axis machines.
• Familiarity with Heidenheim and Fanuc controls.
• Willingness to commute to the workshop in the Newton Aycliffe/Shildon area.
• Commitment to a 4‑day working week and rotating shift pattern.
