CNC Milling Machinist – Programmer/Setter/Operator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join our Romford facility. The role involves programming, setting up and operating a range of high‑precision 5‑axis machines, primarily for aerospace‑grade components. You will receive training on the latest equipment and work within a technically skilled team.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines including Matsuura (MAM72‑52, MAM72‑42, MAM72‑35), DMU, Mori Seki (NH4000, 5000 DCG Horizontal Pallet, Eco line 50) and HAAS (Mini Mill, VF1, VF2, VF3).
• Program CNC machines to produce precision parts and modify programs as required.
• Interpret technical blueprints and design models to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform calculations for cutting paths and material removal.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller with a focus on programming, setting and operating machines.
• Strong understanding of ISO NC programming standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design specifications.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within tight tolerances.
• Experience in the aerospace sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Willingness to undergo further training and adopt new technologies.
