CNC Operator

About the role

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke valves, is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join their production team in Stroud. You will work on modern CNC equipment, ensuring high‑quality output while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate one or more CNC milling machines within the cell.
• Complete a daily machine health checklist and record any non‑conformances.
• Document work, track progress, and stamp off completed jobs.
• Collaborate with the Production Team Leader and assist with additional duties as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
• Participate in training sessions and mentor new staff or apprentices.
• Help minimise scrap and support the achievement of delivery targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating CNC milling machines.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge.
• Engineering qualification or craft apprenticeship (or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong numeracy skills for calculations and measurements.
