CNC Production Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing

About the role

Our client, a well‑established automotive supplier, is expanding its CNC machining facility in the West Midlands. They are seeking a hands‑on CNC Production Engineer to drive efficiency, optimise cycle times and ensure first‑time‑right production of aluminium cast components.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and program a range of CNC equipment, including FANUC and Mazatrol controls.
• Review and improve existing machining processes, methods and cycle times.
• Introduce best practices in tooling, fixturing and work‑holding.
• Provide technical problem‑solving support to the production team on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with quality, production and engineering colleagues to meet component specifications.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects across the facility.

Required profile

• Solid CNC machining background, preferably as a setter‑programmer.
• Proven experience programming FANUC and Mazatrol controls.
• Strong knowledge of CNC setting across various equipment.
• Methodical, improvement‑focused mindset with a passion for precision engineering.
